HELTER SKELTER BY NEIL LABUTE (22-28 SEPTEMBER)

HELTER SKELTER BY NEIL LABUTE (22-28 SEPTEMBER)

In a chic restaurant in New York City, a man and his wife meet to take a break from Christmas shopping. He doesn’t know that she has already seen him today, elsewhere in town. The routine that usually ensues on their annual shopping trip is ripped apart by the truth and it becomes clear this will not be an ordinary day.

PLANK presents its first production exploring domestic harmony and self-destruction with hard hitting prose. This raw and ready performance invites the audience into an open dialogue with those on stage, while asking the questions:
Do we play an active role in our own lives? And
When betrayal enters a marriage, what is left?

Presented by Melbourne’s up and coming, LaBute offers a story that we think we understand, until we realise we’ve wondered away from a witty drama into a Greek Tragedy.
