An internationally celebrated touring artist, award winner and PhD Graduate, Sandy has appeared at the Chicago Jazz Festival, Edinburgh Festival, The North Sea Jazz Festival (The Netherlands) and Jazz Yatra (India). She leads the Sandy Evans Trio and Sextet, and co-leads the acclaimed Clario Fracture Zone. Her discography includes collaborations with Bernie McGann and Judy Bailey. A member of MARA!, The Catholics, the Australian Art Orchestra, Ten Part Invention, austraLYSIS, Kim Sanders and Friends and SNAP, her portfolio of projects demonstrates her versatility and incredible contribution to Australian Music.
For one night only, Sandy presents her new work Changing Times with her trio Brett Hirst (bass), Toby Hall (drums) and special guest Andrea Keller (piano). With the support of an Australia Council Fellowship, Changing Times explores new ideas inspired by Sandy’s engagement with Indian music. The work intercepts Indian rhythms in a contemporary jazz context with a focus on innovative metric conceptions. Prepare to be awestruck with modern mastery, soaring saxophone lines and transcendental rhythms.

Seating: General Admission. Please make sure you arrive a minimum of 15 minutes prior to the performance start time. The performance has a strict ‘Lockout Policy’, latecomers will not be permitted.
