THANDO: CHAPEL SUMMER SESSIONS (19 JANUARY)
Zimbabwean born R&B songstress Thando oozes passion as a storyteller; taking her audience on a journey of loving oneself and reflection. She has spent the last 5 years selling out venues and crafting her signature sound from influences such as Angie Stone, Solange and Frank Ocean.
We love Thando so much we had invited her back for the third time – a true Chapel Summer Sessions veteran. Thando has curated a stellar setlist including reimagined original material with special guests Helena Eriksson, Liona Tatafu and Lucca Franco.
No stranger to the Chapel Off Chapel stage; as Effie White and Shug Avery in Dreamgirls and The Color Purple respectively, this multidimensional performer is solidifying her status as Melbourne’s newest first lady of R&B.
