QUEER ART PRIZE – EXHIBITION (13 JAN – 5 FEB)
Queer Art Prize Australia showcases and celebrates LGBTIQ art achievements in Australia.
Queer Art Prize Australia (QAPA) is a new non-acquisitive art prize to celebrate LGBTI art achievements in Australia. QAPA is a non-discriminatory art prize that celebrates works relating to the LGBTI community or themes by any artist who resides in Australia or works with those identifying as LGBTI. The exhibition will showcase the best in LGBTI art from across the nation and will also feature selected works in a limited edition coffee table publication. The winning entry will be announced at the exhibition launch event and the people’s choice award will be awarded at the end of the exhibition.
As part of the 2017 MIDSUMMA FESTIVAL.
Finalist entries will also take part in a promotional art exhibition tour around the nation.
