Full of boundless energy with a quick wit to match, Michael Dalton is an experienced and accomplished performer on both the local and international entertainment circuits.
Born in the UK, Michael’s professional career began as a ten-year-old when he played the title role in the 1980 West End production of Oliver! After his family immigrated to Australia in the 80s, Michael played various roles on stage and screen including The Rocky Horror Show, Naked Boys Singing, and A Different Way Home.
In the late 90s Michael created the character Dolly Diamond and has become one of Melbourne’s most vivacious and well-known comedy cabaret performers. Dolly is an Ambassador for Guide Dogs Victoria, Movember, the Children’s Tumour Foundation and Give Out Day. Dolly Diamond made her Chapel Off Chapel debut back in 2004 and is now one of our favorite stars. Dolly was also the Artistic Director of the 2017 and 2018 Melbourne Cabaret Festival.
We cannot wait to check in with Michael – hope you’ll join us.
Friday 8 May at 8pm AEST head over to our Instagram page where we will chat LIVE with Michael.
