Adam Simmons, Howard Cairns and Hugh Harvey combine to create Origami. This exuberant trio interweave swing, groove, traditional and contemporary jazz for an exceptional sound.
Origami will perform their show Wu-Xing – The Five Elements. Wu Xing is the cornerstone for much of Chinese philosophy, translating as ‘five elements’ or ‘five phases.’ In this show, a collaboration with Wang Zheng-Ting, the performance explores the cycle of creation through the five elements wood, fire, earth, metal and water. The elemental musing are enhanced with visual projections and the clear technical skill of the musicians.
