The Melbourne Mandolin Orchestra invites you to ‘Our Place’.
This program explores the rich musical landscape of cultural diversity that reflects the history of the Orchestra; from its early beginnings with European migration after World War II, through to today with contemporary Australian compositions commissioned for mandolin orchestras.
The orchestra consists of mandolins, mandolas, classical guitars, mandocello and double basses, which all combine to form a unique and beautiful quality of sound that is greatly enjoyed by audiences around the world.
