Stonnington Jazz Festival 2018
Billy Davis & the Good Lords + P-UniQue + DJ Mz Rizk
A new meeting of hip hop, R’n’B and gospel describes the work of Melbourne’s own Billy Davis, keyboardist and composer. After touring with Chicago’s NoName, jamming with Anderson .Paak and The Internet and hitting the Australian Top 10 on Spotify with single “No Longer Lovers”, Davis brings The Good Lord’s incredible live show to Stonnington Jazz for the first time.
Piath Mathiang, known as P-UniQue was born in North Sudan before moving to Melbourne as a small child. Her music is raw, honest and open. She writes from the heart and speaks her mind, expressing her perspectives via spoken word and hip-hop. Determined to fight through the hardships faced as a woman in a male-dominated genre, this performance will ensure you never forget the name, P-UniQue.
