Evil Dead The Musical

Melbourne... are you ready to get splattered?
The bloodiest musical of all time is coming your way in 2026!

  • Dates 26 March - 5 April

  • Times See below

  • Ticket prices See below

This hilariously gory, blood-soaked rock musical based on the iconic ’80s Evil Dead cult film franchise, will be unleashed this March.

When five college students venture to an abandoned cabin in the woods, they accidentally unleash an evil force that turns them all into demons. It’s up to Ash, a housewares clerk turned chainsaw-wielding hero, to save the day! With blood flying, limbs dismembered, demons cracking bad jokes and killer musical numbers, this show is laugh-out-loud carnage from start to finish.

The intimate Chapel Theatre will be hilariously wrecked – uh, transformed – into a ramshackle, not-so-demon-proof cabin in the woods, putting you smack-bang in the middle of the bloody chaos.

Whether you’re a die-hard horror enthusiast, a musical theatre lover, or just someone who enjoys a good laugh, Evil Dead The Musical is a wild ride like nothing you’ve ever seen. It’s part comedy, part carnage and all parts GROOVY!

Don’t miss this bloody good time!

Seating & Accessibility

Seating: Allocated Seating

SPLATTER ZONE: Rows BB, A & B
If you’re planning to purchase a ticket in the Splatter Zone, we strongly suggest wearing clothes you don’t mind getting soaked with stage blood and water. You will get splattered. Neither the producers, the creative team, venue staff, nor the venue are liable for any stains, mess or damage to personal belongings. We also advise leaving handbags, devices and anything you’d rather keep dry and clean at home or well away from the Splatter Zone. Trust us… it won’t survive!

Splatter Zone packages include a ticket to the show and an exclusive Splatter Zone souvenir poncho (wear it… or don’t, at your own risk). Ponchos can be collected at the venue on the night of your performance.

CO-SPLAT-ERAL DAMAGE: Rows C & D
We do our best to keep the blood up front, but sometimes things get a little… enthusiastic. If you’re in Rows C or D, there’s a chance of collateral splatter. You should walk away clean, though you might leave with a red souvenir. Dress accordingly – or sit further back if you’d prefer your musical horror with less… risk.

SAFER ZONE: Rows E & beyond
Not into spontaneous blood showers? No problem! The rest of the theatre is safer from the splatter, so you can enjoy every hilarious, horrifying moment dry and cosy.

PLEASE NOTE: If you require accessible seating or wheelchair access, call the Box Office on 03 8290 7000, Monday-Friday between 10am and 4pm to book your tickets. Or alternatively contact the box office directly at chapel@stonnington.vic.gov.au for assistance.

Please note the accessible seating is in the Splatter Zone.
