Stonnington Jazz screens the unforgettable documentary-drama that portrays the modern jazz movement’s search for musical expression. This epic journey is a beautifully produced and visually stunning portrayal of the Australian jazz scene, featuring performances and interviews with jazz greats including Sandy Evans, Bernie McGann, Don Burrows, Paul Grabowsky and James Morrison, to name but a few of the 70-odd musicians involved in the project. Directed by Kevin Lucas, the film was the Winner of the 1991 Grand Prix International Jazz Film Salon Warsaw and screened at the Banff International TV Festival Canada; the Cinema de Reel and Cinema du film d’art France; and Cinema dei Popeli, Italy.
