Chocolate Starfish – The Beautiful Addiction

SHOW INFORMATION

Perennial envelope pushers Chocolate Starfish, renowned for their magnetic stage presence and immersive live shows, celebrate the release of their fourth LP, ‘The Beautiful Addiction’ in this special one-off show.

The evening boasts an electrifying assortment of highlights from ‘The Beautiful Addiction’ along with all the singles and favourites from the band’s first two albums.

Written, recorded and produced during last year’s extensive lockdown, ‘The Beautiful Addiction’ is, for the band, one of the few positive things to emerge from the isolation and uncertainty that permeated 2020.

“This is like introducing your newborn child to the world – you know you’ve created something special,” lead singer Adam Thompson confides. “With ‘The Beautiful Addiction’ album, lockdown afforded me and the band the time to really nurture the songs, honour the arrangements and ‘feel them out’, like we did back on the self-titled debut in 1994. There was so much anger and lament about what we lost during the pandemic, but this was an undeniable advantage and win for us.”

‘The Beautiful Addiction’ album was produced and mixed by Tim Henwood, who is also a co-writer on several of the tracks.

The album features the band’s recently released cover of the 4 Non Blondes hit ‘What’s Up?’ along with 10 original tracks that will undoubtedly delight current fans and create a legion of new ones.

The party kicks off with support by singer/songwriter Nat Allison, with her powerful rock vocals and guitar prowess.

Whether you’re a long-time fan or a newcomer to the Starfish fold, this is a celebration that promises unbridled entertainment and – in true Starfish style – a few surprises.
