Making dreams come true this Midsumma!
Dolly Diamond is making dreams come true this Midsumma! She’ll be rescuing contestants from their mundane lives, transforming them into their idols and make them stars for a night! Which Stars will be unveiled? Who will win?
Music Icons and idols will be brought to life in DOLLY DIAMONDS STAR FOR A NIGHT, Midsumma’s newest spectacular.
Fresh from your lockdown livestream, Dolly Diamond has converted Chapel Off Chapel into a television variety show soundstage where each night she will put local contestants through their paces. They will perform the songs and take on the look of their favourite entertainment idols – and this can be any music superstar, alive or dead.
Dolly’s special guests for these performances include Bob Downe (21 April), Silvie Paladino (22April), Rhonda Burchmore (23 April), Lucy Holmes (24 April), and, at each performance, Tash York and Matthew Hadgraft.
Dolly Diamond is excited to be back on stage this Midsumma – and she can’t wait to find out who your favourite stars are.

To protect your health and safety and that of our team we have the following measures in place:
- Venue will open 45 minutes prior. On arrival, you will be directed to your allocated seat
- The venue will be cashless
- All staff and patrons to wear masks for mutual protection
- All patrons and staff to check in to the venue via on site QR code
- Hand sanitiser available throughout the venue
- Regular disinfection of high touch points and individual seats and tables
- Chapel Off Chapel and the City of Stonnington have comprehensive COVID Safe plans in place
- In line with current government guidelines we have reduced capacities in our theatres to 75% of their regular capability. We are not able to enforce gaps between household groups and a mask must be worn in the theatres as 1.5m social distancing cannot be maintained.
