Award-winning theatre company, The Barden Party is bringing its usual fun-loving spin to R&J and filling Shakespeare’s most famous play with its general hilarious, heartfelt antics.
Set as a modern-bohemian romance put to Kiwi and Australian music you love, and that you’ve never heard before… You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll dance the night away.
The Barden Party’s Romeo & Juliet is back and it’s bigger and better than ever, with original cast members returning – and some exciting new additions! After its 70-show international tour and surprise success at the Adelaide Fringe Festival 2024 winning Best Theatre for week one, it’s finally bringing back Romeo & Juliet to let a whole new audience fall in love with this show.
