Jason Robert Brown’s mesmerising song cycle weaves together a tapestry of emotions, dreams, and life-altering moments, capturing the raw essence of the human experience, in a performance event which is a feast for the senses.

From the first note to the last, Songs for a New World invites you to embark on a riveting exploration of hope, love, loss, and the transformative power of choices through complex musical structures, soaring vocals, and captivating choreography.

Each song stands alone as a profound narrative, yet together they form a rich mosaic that resonates with audiences of diverse backgrounds.

Soundworks Productions has assembled a stunning cast of powerhouse performers from across Australia to bring this rarely-performed show for a limited season. Directed by Lauren McKinnon (Heathers, Hairspray, Puffs – resident director, DreamSong, Jack Frost and Mad World – director) and choreographed by Benjamin Curé (director of Lion Heart Dance Company).

Musical direction by Benjamin Samuel and Mark Bradley.
