Lion Heart Dance Company celebrates a decade of creating art that moves the heart with this special 10th-anniversary remount of its premiere work, Table of Eight.
Reimagined for a new generation, this narrative-based contemporary dance piece explores the raw complexities of grief, human connection and modern relationships. It follows a tight-knit circle of friends whose worlds begin to unravel after the sudden loss of a member. As they wrestle with isolation and the pain of an empty seat, they are forced to confront the bonds that hold us together and the unmet needs that drive us apart.
Featuring a cast of some of Melbourne’s most exceptional performers, Table of Eight is an honest, poignant exploration of the human experience. A journey filled with joy, heartache, reflection and ultimately finding a way forward.
