The Loft

The Loft is a versatile black box theatre featuring a flat stage and raked seating bank with a capacity of 150. It is the perfect space for cabaret, plays, comedy, music theatre and small dance performances.

The Loft has been a platform for many new Australian works, including the theatrical seasons of Holding the Man by Tommy Murphy and the thriller Dirt by Angus Cameron, as well as the critically acclaimed Britney Spears: The Cabaret starring Christie Whelan Browne.

Features

Stage Area & Seating: The flat-to-the-floor stage area provides a versatile performance space. The raked seating bank can comfortably accommodate 150 seated audience members.

Lighting System: The lighting setup includes a combination of LED and conventional lights hung across four lighting bars, all controlled through an ETC GIO lighting desk over four universes of Art-net.

Audio System: A combination of QSC and Quest speakers connected across a Dante audio network. Control is managed by a Yamaha QL1 audio mixer.

Stage Flooring: Tongue and groove timber stage floor overlaid with Masonite and painted black.

Dressing Room: One dressing room, located on the first floor behind the stage, is designed to comfortably accommodate six people. Accessible toilet and shower facilities are located on the ground floor.
