As an insight into showcasing and producing new works, Creative Conversations is thrilled to partner with Whiskey & Boots and their award-winning production, Mama Stitch.
Mama Stitch is a unique storytelling experience, celebrating mums in all their imperfections, challenges and triumphs. Stories about mums collected by Whiskey & Boots are distilled and presented as ‘Headphone Verbatim’ (meaning the actor wears headphones and delivers the text as they hear it, live and without embellishment). Each story is underscored with an original bespoke musical response inspired by the stories shared.
Following the performance, there will be a special Q&A session where you can engage with the artists and delve deeper into the themes explored. Enjoy light refreshments and embrace the opportunity to network with fellow creatives.
We are also excited to be planning our third instalment for August 2024 which will have a visual arts focus.
Creative Conversations is an initiative of the Creative Stonnington: Arts and Culture Strategy 2023-2026 to provide an environment for our creative community to engage with each other and the City of Stonnington.
We look forward to seeing you at Creative Conversations.
